DES honored area veterans recently with a breakfast and show.  Everyone involved worked hard to make our veterans feel special. Students wrote letters and thank you notes to go to our guests.  Our fourth and fifth grade students under the direction of Mr. Tracy and the art skills of Mrs. Lewis worked hard on our program by learning the musical and making American flag t-shirts to make the show special.  Our wonderful cafeteria staff prepared an amazing breakfast!  Countless volunteers from PTO, special area teachers and other staff member worked to ensure this day was to honor those who serve and server our country.  Two deserving Veterans received a Quilt of Valor.  It was a special morning.
